Event Day

The Hawk Walk and Run starts and ends in the southwest corner of Redmond Town Center by the Sammamish River trail, across Bear Creek Parkway at 74th Street.

Please, no dogs, scooters, bicycles, rollerblades, or skateboards. Race packets, including bib numbers and t-shirts will be available for pick-up beginning at 8:00am.

Parking

Please park in the parking garage near the west entrance of Redmond Town Center. Signs will direct you to the start/finish line and parking locations.

1-Mile Route

The 1-mile route is on the Sammamish River Trail along Bear Creek Parkway towards Larry's market. The turn-around is 1/2 mile from the starting line. We encourage child participation. Parents are encouraged to walk or run with their children and do not need to register. We ask only that, if you are not registered, you do not go through the Finish line chute as this is a timed event.

5K Route

The 5K route also runs along the Sammamish River Trail beginning at the same location as the 1-mile but heading north towards the Redmond City Hall. The turn-around is near the new pedestrian bridge and power line trial and is clearly marked. The 5K is a USA Track & Field certified course.

Celebration Afterwards

Enjoy complimentary food, festivities, kid's activities and celebration sponsored by Redmond businesses at the Redmond Saturday Market site.

Awards

Awards will be presented at 10:45 a.m. on the Redmond Saturday Market site. The top male and female finishers and top male and female masters finishers of the 5K will receive Brooks running shoes. The top male and female finishers aged 12 and under of the 5K will receive a $50 Redmond Town Center gift certificate. The top male and female finishers aged 12 and under of the one-mile event will receive a medal and gift certificate. All youth one-mile finishers receive a special prize.

Age group awards will be going to the first male and female finishers in the following categories: For the one-mile event, pre-K and under, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade; for the 5K event, 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & better.

Random Prize Drawings

A random prize drawing will be held for volunteers, children and adult participants registered for the event. The prizes will be awarded in Redmond Saturday Market at 10:45 a.m. Must be present to win.
