Hawk Rock 'n' Walk 2010
HAWK ROCK 'N' WALK
Saturday, April 24, 2010
9:30 am - 12 pm
Walk for Health and Fun with
the
Redmond Elementary Community
What is the Hawk Rock 'n' Walk?
With the new decade comes a new spring fundraiser. The Redmond
Elementary PTSA is holding the first annual Hawk Rock ’n’ Walk, a
Redmond Elementary community event. Entirely run as a volunteer
effort, we hope to raise $7,500 to support programs that directly
benefit our students and their families.
Additionally, the walk promotes health and fitness for everyone, and
uses a student logo contest to encourage school spirit.
The Hawk Rock 'n' Walk will be held on school grounds, with students,
their parents and school personnel walking laps around a quarter mile
course. No drop-offs, please! There will also be musical entertainment,
student art displays, food, beverages, games and a raffle.
Note: Due to the
change of format and
venue, this event does no longer include a sanctioned 5K run.
Please check back here for updated information closer to the event date
and look for information coming home in the students weekly mail, KIDz
MAIL and Hawk Talk.
We brought it back home, to the heart of the Redmond
Elementary Family.
The Hawk Rock 'n' Walk is sponsored by the Redmond Elementary Parent
Teacher Association (PTSA). All of the profits from this event benefit the
students at Redmond Elementary.
The success of the Hawk Rock 'n' Walk allows us to continue, and
expand, student-focused programs such as art and science programs,
assemblies, field trips, emergency preparedness supplies, and much,
much more!
Redmond Elementary PTSA is a non-profit organization and your
donations are tax-deductible. We appreciate your support for this
healthy and fun event!
