Hawk Talk Submission Guidelines

The Hawk Talk is now accepting student submissions to be published in the Hawk Talk as room permits. Any student interested in submitting original artwork, photography, short stories, poetry or essays, should follow the following guidelines:

  1. Include your name and teacher’s name on all submissions so we can contact you and return your work to you. Anything received without a name/teacher’s name will not be considered.
  2. Prose must be under 1000 words. Please indicate approximate word count on prose submissions.
  3. Photographs of an original artwork are acceptable. Remember that all photographs and artwork will be printed in black and white.
  4. All submissions are subject to editorial review, and there are no guarantees. Publication depends on appropriate content and available space in the Hawk Talk.
  5. Send all submissions to us via the office or email (or have your parents email it) to hawktalk@redmondelptsa.org.

We would also love to see reports and/or articles from classes as a whole! Teachers who are interested in having their class write an article for the newsletter, please contact Elena Savage at hawktalk@redmondelptsa.org. We would be happy to provide you with an “assignment,” or hear your and/or your class’s ideas!
